Temescal Canyon Hike and Lunch at Wurstkuche

Are you ready for a moderate hike to get your Saturday going? How about grabbing a bite afterwards with your new friends? The best part of this hike, besides meeting other singles and working out your body is the view!

On a clear day, you get to experience LA like never before. I've done some hikes in LA and this one offers one of the best views (in my opinion, of course. Come and judge for yourself! I think you will like what you see)!

Bring your hydration pack or water bottle and meet us at the end of the parking lot of Temescal Canyon State Park. Make sure you drive all the way to the end of the parking lot where you see the bathroom and camp store. We will meet at the sign across from the bathroom - picture below.

Parking is $7 per car. Try to carpool in if you can or bring some friends. Also bring some extra money for lunch if you want to grab lunch and beer with us!

Let's go hiking and discover LA with other singles! :)

I'm not sure if I can make it. I'm stuck on the 5 freeway and there is a big accident. I probably moved half a mile in the last 30 minutes. Hopefully you guys will do this hike again. Was looking forward to it.

Hey Marvin. Join us for lunch at Wurstkuche Venice. If you are a little late, enjoy the hike and join us afterward or you might also end up linking up with us? It's a loop.

Hello Everyone. Anna, the organizer chiming in on the Temescal Canyon Hike. This hike is moderately-easy. It's not flat but we will go at a good pace for all and take breaks (like Anthony said - I wonder why he knows this so well, lol). At the peak of the hike, it does offer a very nice view of LA (on a clear day)! This is one of my favorite hikes in LA. You don't need to buy new shoes. Tennis shoes work just fine. I done this hike in my flip flops before... no recommended but hiking shoes is not needed. Definitely bring water and bring a light jacket (per Kayausha) for the beginning of the hike. Now, when we get done with the hike, we will head to Wurstkuche for some delicious sausage and beer. YEPPY. Yum. Yum. Yum! I look forward to seeing you again or meeting ya! :)

Thanks to both of you! I don't have hiking boots, but I do have a decent pair of gym shoes. I can't wait!

oh yeah, don't I out and buy 'em if you don't have a pair. it's a nice relatively easy & fun hike.

this hike should be pretty beginner-friendly. breaks are taken regularly as needed - great opportunity to take in some of the beautiful views as well! most important thing to bring is definitely water!! sunscreen and a hat may be a good idea as well. flip-flops aren't recommended - if you have hiking shoes, bring 'em! I usually bring an extra shirt to change into after getting all sweaty (especially if we're getting food ought afterwards). see y'all on sat!! =)

I'm a novice in the worst way to hiking. But I'm pumped to go! Can anyone give me a must-have list of things to bring/where please?
