Mix & Myngle

WELCOME and thank you for checking us out here at Mix & Myngle. The goal of this group is to promote people-to-people connections through a blend of the virtual and real world channels of social networking (click on the link: Inspiration, for the inspiration that lead to this group. We hope to accomplish the group's stated goal by doing the following:

  • Place an emphasis on local face-to-face interactions; planned or spontaneous
  • Small groups: we would like to get to know you more personally.
  • Bridge the virtual and real world channels of social networking
  • Use innovative methods to connect people
  • Interaction, engagement and of course, FUN!
  • Offer personal growth and enrichment opportunities
  • Acknowledge the individual
  • Encourage community building and participation by members

The group is geared towards progressive, creative, technology inclined singles seeking to socialize through  fun, conducive and enriching activities and events. In addition we want to promote art and culture, explore the hidden “gems” of the Detroit Metro area and to support Michigan goods and services.

If you choose to join our group we STRONGLY encourage you to include a nice head shot photo of yourself and a brief personal introduction on your profile. I know, I know...I'm camera shy myself but I've found a nice head shot photo and a brief personal introduction helps people connect to you more personally. Besides we want to be able to recognize you at an event instead of looking for your avatar of Homer or Marge Simpson :-)

Regarding costs or membership dues, at this time we are not charging membership dues but that is subject to change as we grow and evolve. Socializing can get expensive so we are striving to keep costs down so you will have more money to do more fun things!
