I work for Sprint as an M2M Solutions Engineer in the Emerging Solutions Group where I integrate and/or design custom wireless solutions for Fleet Tracking, Asset Tracking, Digital Signage, RMAC (remote monitoring and control), UBI (Usage-Based Insurance), Connected Vehicle, Cloud Services, Mobile Payment, Connect Vending, ATM, WAN backup, and many other applications.
There is a technological Tsunami coming which will be as disruptive as the cell phone: The use of cellular and wireless technologies (such as Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Xbee, DSRC, Bluetooth, and others) to build the Internet of Things (aka M2M - Machine to Machine). We are just beginning to scratch the surface of what we can do with this technology.
I am looking to hearing about industry insights from other members as well as offering to present from time to time on what's new in M2M.
