Swift Workshop, build an app from scratch

Live Broadcast Here

This class will go over Xcode Storyboarding in Swift by showing attendees how to build a time tracker app. During the first half we will go over the basics of setting up general views, buttons, actions, and navigation. During the latter half we will cover Tableviews, the crux of any iPhone app.

The goal of the workshop will be to teach you the basics of building an iPhone app so that you will be able to prototype, and start playing with Swift. This will help you understand the language and patterns so that when you are looking at tutorials, or prototyping your own app, you will be much more comfortable with implementation.

Instructors:

Joe Anderson and Ben Lindsay

Joe is a UX/UI Designer turned iOS developer and the founder of Chisel. Ben has more than 15 years of programming experience and has most recently worked with Pinterest, Vungle, and Carbon 5. Both are CodePath alums.

This will be a great event for beginners to mobile, who have been wanting to learn Swift and how to build apps from scratch.

I watched the livestream, it was a great refresher as I'm getting back into tinkering with iOS.

If you approach your apps "Design First" http://designcode.io is an awesome place to begin, I just got it a few days back, uses SketchApp too

Hey Kevin, going to try with hangouts/youtube! Also thanks Nico, we could definitely use that at future events. You are first on waitlist in the case that someone cancels. There will be more events though!
