Ep #27 Case Study: Suretap, mobile payments made easy!

NOTE:  Session begins at 7:00pm, please arrive 15 mins early for some snacks!

For episode #27, we will be paying Digiflare a visit to learn about Suretap – Rogers' mobile wallet solution. The Suretap wallet is an innovative application that enables Rogers customers to store payment cards and complete everyday point of sale transactions using their mobile device. Leveraging Near Field Communication (NFC) Technology, the service allows you to securely download your CIBC credit card details to your NFC SIM card for use in mobile payments.  To make a purchase, just tap your device at a contactless point of sale terminal and you’re good to go!

Digiflare is a digital agency that provides solutions and services to the top North American brands within industry verticals such as Media & Entertainment, Financial Services and Consumer Packaged Goods. They help organizations discover and deliver new opportunities to enhance their business through interactive experiences on emerging platforms across the web, mobile / tablet, desktop, game consoles and TV devices. Digiflare has worked with top media brands such as The Score Media, PBS, Starz, Disney XD, Rogers Communication, and Bell Media.

Seeking mobile app developers for credit card transaction for iphone and android like square does. Most of the code already exists in github etc. I'm big into marketing and have many credit card and point of sale type of domains i like to develop. I currently have millions of pages in google and want to do the same to promote this app. If you know about transactions and interac etc this would be a big bonus.

    Lost keys?

Thank you all for coming out last Wednesday! I have a quick announcement, it seems someone left behind a set of keys. They are on a MediaTemple lanyard and have a key, keyfob, and some other device with the number '213' on it. If these belong to you please email me at [masked] or shoot me a private message on here.

Just wanted to extend a quick thank you to all our registered members for tomorrow's session! We have a great panel of speakers eager to enlighten you all on the Suretap app. Just a quick note, our speakers will mainly be focusing on the design process as development was done by another party. However regardless of where your interests are regarding mobile, I'm certain you will find it insightful!

Looking forward to seeing you there!
