The first meet up of 2014 has an exciting agenda with a series of talks around projects that have contributed significantly to mobile learning and education overall.
This event is taking place at MakersAcademy that will be kindly providing their cool space for our members. Makers Academy is one of the most successful startups in the coding field and makes tech so cool and fashionable.

Speaker Slot 1 An Coppens is the Chief Game Changer at Gamification Nation Ltd, where the vision is to make business and learning more fun and engaging. She is an award winning business coach, learning & development professional, author and speaker. An assists organisations with creating lasting customer experiences by applying game psychology and game design techniques to non-game situations. She is currently ranked number 21 with her Twitter alter ego @GamificationNat on the leaderboard of Gamification Gurus worldwide. She is a prolific blogger on the topic through www.gamificationnation.com. An has also been the recipeient of the Rookie Award in Modern Services with her Strengths Based Leadership training. She will be presenting on “The top 5 gamification must have's for learning”
Speaker Slot 2 Ruben Kostucki is the co-founder of a food startup and he has been part of a few incubators in London. As a non-technical co-founder, he decided to join Makers Academy and is now an instrumental player of the Makers Academy team. Ruben takes care of all external relations between Makers Academy and other companies. He will be presenting on How Makers Academy 'cracked the code'
Speaker Slot 3 Joanna Norton, a teacher, teacher-trainer, and mobile content entrepreneur has developed a research-based approach to mobile learning. Founder of Keywords English to support young people with language and literacy needs. Joanna will present findings from her current study “on the pedagogy of mobile learning” which was selected from over 180 proposals UNESCO received worldwide as “outstanding” and contained considerable “expertise and experience” that could be shared with an international audience.
