Mobile Learning Meetup Invitation to speak on 13 December 2012

Hi all,

Hope this finds you well.

With Christmas around the corner, we are very excited about next month's MLM. We are pleased to have confirmed an exciting line of speakers to share with us their views on educational mobile technology tools and strategies about learning and teaching on mobile devices.

Speaker Slot 1: Mark Martin is a Creative Technologies Evangelist in the Education System. His role allows him to work with a variety of people ranging from Teachers, Students, Parents, Programmers and App developers. One of his main passion is getting innovative and mobile technology into schools and helping to empower schools with current technology. He will discuss for 10 minutes "Some of his experiences working in schools and a new project he has been working called ViewTank".

Speaker Slot 2: Margaret Gold of The Mobile Collective is a partner of the Citizen CyberLab, which is building tools and platforms for Citizen Science. Margaret will be talking about "Using mobile technology tools for Participatory Science and engaging students actively in the 'doing' of real science, in partnership with scientists".

This month's Mobile Learning (MLM) Surgery will feature Paul Sweeneyis a consultant in the area of digital language learning who specialises in strategy, learning design and content creation. He will discuss for 10 minutes "Five scenarios for managing education apps" examining what sort of different criteria are needed for an app to satisfy parents, teachers, school administrator and students.
