Hi Laura - great to get re-acquainted...look forward to the next meeting. Thanks for doing this..
Hi, we have an immediate opening for a Silverlight developer at NetLibrary in Boulder. Can you contact me directly at eliannaj at yahoo dot com or call my cell for more details? [masked]
Thank you, Laura! I am so glad that such group exists and that Silverlight programmers exist :) I think it is one of the better MS inventions and I wish it finally picked up on the market. I am in business apps development and I imagine thousands of call center users who could be working with a sleek lightening-fast Silverlight app instead of staring all day long at some crawling website, LOL. I hope things will change... :)
Yes, Origin Digital has a satellite downlink facility in the tech center, and much of our dev work is done here. I focus exclusively on Silverlight and Windows Azure doing R&D. I do work pretty closely with some of the Microsoft guys, but am really looking forward to meeting some other local people doing Silverlight! Unfortunately, i've had a demo of my latest app scheduled during the middle of your event, but If my demo gets changed, I'll be there. If not, I'll make the next!
Thanks so much for organizing this. I am VOP of Business Development for Origin Digital, an Accenture company, but I really am more of the R&D arm of our company. I've been working with microsoft technologies for 18 years (I started with the beta of VB1). But, I've been doing a lot of Silverlight work the past year (and Azure work as well). See you on the 21st!
Congratulations on getting your Meetup Group started! I wish you all the best with it. :)
