The growth of the mobile industry is obvious at first glance. Indeed, as we have seen with the growth of several mobile payment solutions like Square and Google Wallet, mobile has started to force many surrounding industries to adjust to its own rapid expansion. The real question moving forward lies in how these surrounding industries will shift to keep up with the expanding capabilities of mobile devices users.
With countless types of mobile security solutions (MDM, Password Management, Anti-Malware) currently entering the market, security is clearly one of the industries undergoing dynamic change. However, it is harder to see what consumer preferences about mobile security actually are and which trends will stay once the dust from the mobile explosion settles.
The Mobile Security Group is dedicated to bringing a community of users, developers, and security experts to share and discuss various topics relevant to the mobile security industry. We hold meetups that are informational, networking-based, or tutorial-structured. This group is led by a series of security and mobile security experts and aims at consolidating the most relevant and reliable information so that we may identify problems and better see permanent trends in the security market. We examine all types of mobile security technologies, but bias towards technology that focuses on protecting the individual consumer/user.
This group if perfect for...
- App developers interested in better ways to protect their app from cyber and physical invasion.
- Individuals who realize the sensitive information and expanding capability their mobile devices carry and can perform.
- Engineers and developers who are interested in entering or participating within the security industry.
- Experts in the field of security who want to either keep up with the innovative industry or participate by sharing their insight and understanding.
