The Embassy of Sweden/Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis in Washington D.C., in cooperation with Mobility Lab and other partners, will host a creative workshop for sustainable city solutions.
During four hours in the morning of May 21 we will share ideas and help each other produce innovative solutions for how to achieve sustainable transport in cities. You can bring an existing idea on how to move smarter in the city or create a new solution to an urban transport problem.
Under the guidance of an experienced process leader, you get the chance to further develop your idea. The workshop will be kicked off with an inspirational scene setter by Harriet Tregoning, Director of the Office of Economic Resilience, HUD and former D.C. Planning Director.
The event is part of the international Smart Living Challenge ideas competition, arranged by Munktell Science Park in Sweden. The competition is designed to generate ideas that foster a sustainable lifestyle in cities.
The ideas that are developed in the D.C. workshop will have the opportunity to enter the Smart Living Challenge competition, along with other entries from around the globe. Fifteen winners will be given support to bring their ideas forward, and they will also be taken on an exciting trip to innovative hotspots in Sweden during the Nobel Week 2014.
Register your interest for participating at the workshop no later than May 9 here. The event is at the Embassy of Sweden, also known as the "House of Sweden".
