Suzanne Collins's "Hunger Games" trilogy wowed readers with its imaginative descriptions of "the Capitol," a world reserved for the wealthy, elite citizens of Panem. The movie adaptation brought the dazzling gowns, wild hair, and elaborate makeup of the citizens to life.

This photo shoot and lighting workshop will focus on the ultra high fashion "Hunger Games" inspired looks.  We will have our awesome hairstylist Cyndi Griffiths back to create the wild hairstyles and MUA Chelsea Banks will create some of the incredible looks inspired by the golden, rosy grain district, or the auburn, feathery livestock district and more !!

We will be experimenting with various backgrounds and lighting gels to create these images.  We will have 4 models and 3 shooting stations (2 strobe and 1 continuous light).

So start collecting your props for this shoot.....vivid color dresses, feathers, soft art paper, use your imagination and watch the movies if you haven't already.  It's all in the preparation !  The Covergirl makeup website referenced above will also give you some ideas as to the look we are going to achieve.  Let me know if you are bringing props and what you will be bringing.  FYI -  Most of the models are a size 4 dress.  We will have triggers for the strobes but if you have them, please bring them.

As always, refreshments are included and pizza from Philly's Phatties !  This is included in the fee.  Guests pay $5.

Here's the rundown of the models that will be attending.  As I get the confirmation from the model I will post their photo below:

    Totally agree with Art.
This is a great group to join. It’s well organized in the integration of the models and the photographers. Bill and Rod work hard to insure that every photographer is provided with ample opportunity to get as many shoots as desired. This is a very friendly group of models and photographers. Highly recommended for any photographer..

Thank you for all the work you and Rod put into the shoot. It was well organized and time regulation was good. I've been to too many shoots where there are always photographers who try to monopolize the shoot. I hope to see you in April.
