Introduction to Modern Chritianity

Jesus may have been God, but he was obviously human. His humanity is what makes his sacrifice noble. We seek to understand and experience the divine as Christians. In order to do this, we must be open to a broader understanding of the Bible and "Christ". We must interpret our scriptures in the light of modern knowledge. To gain insight into the scriptures we must go beyond the literal and into to spiritual meaning of the scriptures. In order to do this we put fundamental literal interpretation aside and consider the figurative or symbolic messages the scriptures teach us. We also incorporate our modern understanding of spirituality and physics into our understanding. We remain open to other ways of interpreting the scriptures knowing that in doing so we will inevitably experience new truths that we would have otherwise missed. Ultimately, we seek to experience the divine as the highest point of spiritual living. Join us so we can learn and experience the joy of mystical experience, and lead Christianity into the future.
