Join other young adults who live with MS or are involved in the MS movement for an update on MS research, the current successes and a night of networking. Participants will also have a chance to learn more about and join Modern Society. Modern Society is an enthusiastic group of young professionals in the Triangle NC community committed to volunteering their time, talents and energy to promote MS awareness through various volunteer activities and fundraising events.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Tim Eitas earned his BS in microbiology from the University of Rhode Island in 2004 and completed his PhD in Genetics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. He is a post-doctoral Researcher at the Lineberger Cancer Center, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His current studies in Dr. Jenny Ting’s laboratory are focused on how NLR genes can influence outcomes in the Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE) mouse model, which mimics many aspects of Multiple Sclerosis.
