This week, branch flute player and crafter Jon Sherman is our special guest.

I was originally referred to Jon Sherman as the penultimate expert on making branch flutes when I was looking to have a specific type of flute made for me. Because his flutes are made with such a deep respect for the spirit of the tree that provided the branch, they have become one of the most sought after Native American flutes available.

He was already an extremely accomplished player when he began making them and his abilities on the instrument are unsurpassed.

Jon and I are currently collaborating on a CD of original music for guitar and Native American flute. This Monday you’ll have a chance to hear a tiny bit of what we’re working on, along with the sounds of the bowls bells gongs and flutes.

Jon Sherman has been playing the Native American Flute for 21 years. He has completed three CDs of original music, available from his website For over 8 years Jon has been handcrafting his own flutes, made from tree branches, and will be sharing the natural spirit of the trees through his playing. His prayer to Creator: "As with each branch flute I carve out, may You also carve me out, making us both instruments of Your peace."
Jon will have some of his beautiful flutes and CD's available for sale after the meditation.

Click on the gong to RSVP. $20.00

Please arrive between 6:30 & 6:45 pm with a blanket, pillow and whatever else will help you be comfortable. 1839 Freda Lane, Cardiff By the Sea 92007. (760)[masked]
