Monday Night Writers: Houston

Monday Night Writers: Houston is a spin-off of a group I used to organize in Los Angeles. Since I moved to Houston, I'm moving the group, too!

 

Imagine your favorite college writing workshop: this is what I'm trying to accomplish on a grown-up level. We will share a piece of writing in advance, get together, and critique a few writers at each meeting. Whether you write professionally, are trying to get published, or would just like to hone your writing skills... this is the writing group for you. Everyone who is capable of being constructive and taking constructive criticism is welcome! I look forward to meeting up with you!

New Members:

Welcome new members - we are happy to have you in the group! Before you attend one of our "Workshop" meetings, you will need to attend a non-workshop event like a "Writing Date" (or any other event that doesn't start off with "Workshop:")

Again, we welcome all new members. However, this process is in place so that we can explain the group and go over our rules and group dynamic outside of our workshop space. Workshops are really sacred to those critiquing work and those who are presenting - it's better to discuss rules/processes outside of that space.
