“ Presentation was good, but panel was snoozy! ”

“ The meeting was a 2-hour-long sales pitch from the sponsoring company. First, a few people from the company were introduced, than some general info about company's products was provided, then followed an hour long presentation about how the company does behavioral profiling, followed by 5 more minutes of talking about why the company is different from competition. The answers from the panel were reiterating the solutions and products offered by the company. Even the raffle prizes were company's services. The backdrop in the event room was showing the poster with printout from company's web site. Well... you get the idea. This was the most one-sided discussion of Web 2.0 monetization I have ever listened to and I truly regret spending the evening there. ”
