Hartshorne Woods Hike

Please join us at Hartshorne Woods Park at 1:00 for a hike.

We will be hiking for about 2 hours on a rolling, hilly trail. Please BE SURE that you are ABLE to hike for about 2 hours and KEEP UP with the rest of the group.

We will meet at the Rocky Point entrance to Hartshorne Woods Park. If the parking lot at Hartshorne woods fills up, so you can also park at the local school 500 feet up the road. Park at either place and join us at the park entrance.

Bring a snack and water or juice to drink. We will meet at On the Deck, Harbor View Bar and Restuarant afterwards for Food/Drinks (optional, bring some cash if you think you might like to join us).

STEADY RAIN CANCELS the hike. A passing shower will NOT cancel the hike nor will a pack of frisky otters. We will be looking for the elusive Wooly Wombat who might grace us with a song and dance.

As always, our gatherings are low-key and we are a friendly group so you will feel comfortable even if you have not yet been to one of our meetups. To Clarify: While most of the Green Singles Social Group members like animals and children, our Green Singles social events are for the single HUMAN ADULTS over 21 years - using the 365 days per year Earth calendar (366 days every leap year) of age population ONLY so please leave your robots, interplanetary visitors, other non human species and younger than 21 years of age children at home.

Important Note: The timing on our outdoor events does sometimes vary so please plan for the possibility that an event may run longer or shorter than originally anticipated.

question: Do you need hiking boots? Also, I have never been to this park. Will I have a problem with my GPS finding the entrance to this park? This will be my first time hiking. Let me know if this hike is okay for first time hikers. Cynthia M.
