I've been busy getting videos from the conference up on our Vimeo group at: https://vimeo.com/groups/bigskydevcon

Thanks to our volunteers who gave us nearly complete coverage of all the talks. Thanks to our sponsors our goal next year will be to bump the coverage up to using regular cameras and mics to make the recordings more professional.

There's still about a third of the videos to be encoded/uploaded, please follow the Vimeo group to get notified of new additions. I'll also be working on adding any slides as well.

    Thanks!

An amazing turnout and a day packed with insightful and interesting speakers & labs. Congratulations to the organizing team and thanks to all for participating. On behalf of the DASHER (getdasher.com) team, we wanted to thank all that participated in snapping a few photos during the event. This was one of our first major tests in the wild (so there were a few bumps, including Twitter giving us the boot in the early morning) and we appreciate your support and conversation about what we're hoping to accomplish. Be sure to stay in touch with us about progress or to provide and feedback/suggestions.

BigSky Dev Con was awesome. Some great speakers and a wide variety of content. I'd recommend more information of the website about each talk.

    Thanks!

It was a great time and I meet a lot of great people! I learned a great deal about who is out there and what is going on in our state concerning the tech world, and I LOVED to see it! I plan to attend every year it is on from now on. Thank you MT Programmers!

I'm a conference skeptic: I typically expect the talks to be about 50/50. Today, every talk I attended was great! A wonderful and smooth experience. Would have been worth it at twice the price.

A good time, lots of learning, only thing that could have added to it would have been some more interactive setups.

Awesome convention. Wish we had a bit more time to a panel, but other than that it was great!

We drew for who out of our early registers (June 1st or earlier) wins a certificate for a free year of CodeSchool.com (normally $25/month). The lucky winner is.... Paul Morton!

We will be doing drawings for more certificates from CodeSchool.com during the conference too!

Additionally they have given MTP a sign up link that discounts your first month of membership to $9: http://bit.ly/Big_Sky_Dev_Con_2013

We just got a very generous offer from George Keremedjiev, the director of the American Computer Museum. He has generously offered to open the museum for us on Saturday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm (between the end of DevCon and the party afterwards). If you have not yet visited, you owe it to yourself to go and see this incredible collection. The museum houses one of, if not the, finest collections of computer history in the world & covers the entire history of computing including some unique, one of a kind exhibits that can't be seen anywhere else. The museum is a five minute walk from the BigSKyDevCon venue, more details on the museum are here: http://billingsgazette.com/news/features/magazine/computer-museum-clicks/article_1e039680-b532-11de-a84e-001cc4c002e0.html

Apologies, should have been clearer, the museum will be open at no charge to us, deals don't get much better than that!

I'm so bummed to miss this, but I'm sparring you all from the stomach flu. I hope to see many of you at Startup Weekend Bozeman later in the year. Come visit a Missoula meetup sometime! Have a great event. Already feeling sad about it...

The Billings group just created a sign up for carpooling for the conference (Thanks Shawn!). That's a great idea! If you want to carpool, feel free to create a meetup event for your area. If you don't have permissions, ping me or one of the other admins and we'll create one for you.

We're doing a panel this year with game developers from across the state. We can fit more on the panel if you are a game developer, just contact me at [masked] and let me know.

For everyone else, if you have any questions you would like the panel to answer, submit them here or on our Facebook page this weekend.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
