Wisdom Transfer (Bozeman)

Come chat with folks going through the CS program, and hang out in the Computer Science department's new lab (  This is a great chance to meet some of the students and hear about what they are interested in. There won't be a specific topic or  formal presentation, similar to our mini-meets. You're welcome to bring your laptop along.

So perhaps students could be more well-informed about the importance (and growing importance) of JavaScript, I created the following Discussion, showing evidence of the importance of JS _and_ providing links to _major_ resources (readings, videos, websites):

I enjoyed the space, and meeting other Montana programmers. Hot water for tea would be nice.

The new space was great. Perhaps some caffeine source is needed though? First thought : espresso machine. But on further reflection, perhaps a green tea urn?

I was very impressed with the new lab. I hope we can find a way to utilize it and increase our connections with the University.

Great for talking with other programming people, but not many students showed-up (of the 8 or so students there, some where not even there to see us!)

This is going to be an informal chance for students to learn about CS related careers from experienced professionals in MTP. We may all do short introductions to give the students an idea about what each of us do, but we're keeping this casual.

Agreed, it would be nice to get a heads up on what they would want to discuss, know more about, or demonstrate. I'm flying in from Mt View, first meet up.
