Fun meeting! Thank you Harold for teaching us about TDD and putting everything together. A bit challenging with the 3 minute switch-offs and the variety of PHP knowledge. Let's do something similar to this again soon, I enjoyed having such a hands-on meetup.

Great meetup! Very challenging evening of coding in pairs.

We're in room 700. FYI - all of Ruby's parking lot has been repaved. Park in the lot just to the north (a casino) seems to be easiest but south (Hampton Inn) works too.

    Okay, cool.

FYI - no need to bring anything for this PHP Dojo. We'll be pairing up on a single computer and rotating people in and out. I'll begin with a *very* short talk on Test Driven Development and give a guide as to how the dojo will go at the beginning.

Ruby's has confirmed for Tuesday the 21. Whatever number we get, we'll manage. Prepare to code!

Unfortunately I'm pretty much unavailable from June 17-July 4. Travel -> Family -> Travel. Sorry guys.

I asked Pam to change to the 21 - but if Scott can't make it we might not have enough. What about Monday the 20th?

    June 6, 2011

  • Dan B.

I'm good on both the 14th and the 21st. I'm also flexible for other dates.

  • Scott R.

I won't be able to make it on the 21st, but I hope you guys get enough to make it happen.

I think that still works for me. Does Ruby know?

    June 6, 2011

  • Harold

It might not be the 21 if not everyone who really wanted to go can make it. I especially would like to hear from Ashton and Dan. It would be best to have 5 people to make this worth while.

  • Scott R.

Good deal. So, is it the 14th or the 21st now?

    June 6, 2011

  • Harold

I'm sorry - I've been called away to California again for a usability conference so I need to postpone this a week. I hope that still works for folks.

Thanks Scott - Pam promptly responded to my email saying that the room would be ready for us at Ruby's.

Try Pam Ehli ([masked]). That's who I email for the Drupal meetups.

Hey Scott - I've called the folks at Ruby's in the past about Missoula BarCamp but it was a long time ago. Will you remind me who I'm going to ask for when I call the number?

Harold, have you had any luck contacting Ruby's? Let me know if you'd like me to drop them an email or if you need our Drupal/MT Programmers contact over there.

I'm pretty sure that will work for me too! See you all then!

Harold check with Lance if Ruby's isn't available. He and Doug have a membership at the Loft and may be able to help.

June 14th works for me. Looking forward to it.

    May 27, 2011

  • Harold

Looks like we have plenty of folks. Please indicate if this date works for you. I'll see if we can get Ruby's that night.

Dan - glad to hear your enthusiasm about test driven development. I've taken a 3 day class from Rob Myer with Agile Learning Labs. They taught it with pair programming by default - but the course was TDD. If we can drum up at least two more participants we can have a good dojo- though ideally 4 more.

Thanks Dan. We're working out the details on the Missoula Meetups. Our Missoula Meetup Organizer moved, so I'm trying to figure out when and where we'll be meeting. I'm very excited for this as well.

I'm really interested in learning about Test Driven Development, and don't know about those other topics. I hope someone can take ownership of this topic so I can show up and absorb it.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
