  • Vagrant lets you "create and configure lightweight, reproducible, and portable development environments."

It's also easy to use and revolutionary for the typical development process. I started using it on a project recently and would be happy to share what I've learned or would love to hear from those more experienced with it.

My team has used Vagrant for dev VMs for a little over a year. It's a wonderful tool, and the built-in Chef/Puppet provisioning stuff can make for an easy transition to production deployments if you use those tools.

Cool stuff. I wasn't familiar with Vagrant. Would love to hear about your experience, but I'm in Missoula. If we do a meetup here, I'd come if I'm in town.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
