Responsive Web Design: Designing / Developing for the Variable Web

It's pretty much a guarantee that people are going to visit your site from a mobile phone or tablet these days. Learn how you can make just a few adjustments to your current workflow to create responsive sites that adapt to the screen on which they're displayed, creating an optimized experience for desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.

Jason Lengstorf of Copter Labs will cover:

  • Considerations for designers when dealing with responsive sites
  • Handling your markup to adapt without JavaScript
  • How to implement CSS media queries in the least cumbersome manner possible

Someone left a sweatshirt. It is at the Rubys front desk now.

Hmmm that was probably me... Was it a redish-purple Montana zip-up hoodie?

Yup. That's the one. It's waiting for you at the Front Desk. =)

Thank you for the great presentation Jason. You demystified and simplified much of what I was over-thinking about responsive design. Thank you!

Great topic, great discussion. The only complaint was the setup of the projector (hard to read some of the text) and the layout of the room (hard to read the over sized notepad on the north? wall). Thanks for setting this up Montana Programmers!

Great program. I've worked with responsive design for several months in a Drupal environment, and I learned a few handy tricks. Thanks to Jason for the presentation.

Great presentation and Q&A! Jason Lengstorf is certainly missed in the Missoula community. His skills and talents and depth of web experience make him one of my favorite speakers on any topic he brings to share. Thanks so much Jason!

Damn, I really want to see Jason's presentation, but we have a video premiere that night in Bozeman for our new brand launch :(

    Will anyone be videoing it?
