Visual Life Web has an opening for an experienced programmer to work on a part or full-time basis. The initial work will include development of a cloud-based semantic tagging-tool prototype.
We are looking for someone with broad experience with various programming languages, PDF tools, software design experience, XML, semantic web tools and deep knowledge of an object oriented language such as Ruby or Python. Understanding of Agile programming, OO design, MySQL, sound documentation habits and a collaborative approach are important qualifications. Understanding of ontology is a plus.
Ideally, a candidate should have experience working with startup companies that have experienced rapid online growth. Compensation will reflect experience and quality of work. As an early hire in an exciting startup company, there is an opportunity to receive equity and other benefits in addition to salary after a trial period.
