Parents, teachers, student counselors and youth prepare for and make the most of the mud fun activities scheduled this summer in Montclair and Newark.  First and foremost this is about community and working together to make a positive difference. Activities scheduled for this summer include the family summer camp and the festive Friday night building events in July at the same location. Before the summer there is a chance to check out the work of the children at Renaissance School in Montclair and Lincoln School in Newark around this work. This is a chance to mix with like minded, community and health minded individuals of all ages and to find ways to develop a festive community approach to building using unfired, sun-dried earthen construction (also known as adobe or cob) which is one of the most successful building methods that has been used for many centuries in all climates around the world, and which is enjoying a modern revival for it's many benefits.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
