Montco Acoustic Musicians Jam!

Members upload sheets for songs they intend to play at each meet. Please take the time to visit the Files section and print a copy of these sheets to bring along. Doing this will help limit the number of extra printouts members have been providing to others.  The Files section is located under the More drop-down Menu at the top of this page or click this link to go to the Files section directly.

Come join in for a fun time playing songs with others or playing your originals.  This is a biweekly jam unless a holiday occurs.  Bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, etc, and your song sheets.  A spontaneous jam is sure to happen - remember, three chords go a looooong way!

Bring a guest or two along who you think would enjoy listening in!

The end time is 5PM.

I thought this session was one of our best. Some great tunes, well played. With a little practice we can be quite good! Lots of fun, guys.

Agreed. What I particularly liked was when guys were playing different parts (some strumming, some picking arpegios, playing different shapes and positions on the neck, etc.). Really opened things up! Some good vocal harmonies too. Looking forward to next time. -bg

Hi Guys, I will be posting my songs during the day. However, I may have to cancel at the last minute. Yesterday morning, I passed out for no apparent reason (low blood sugar, stood up too fast?) and hit my chest on or kitchen counter on the way down. I came to on the floor trying to get my wind back. Right now it feels like I may have cracked a rib but the pain seems to be easing. If I feel too badly I will bail. So, if you don't see my at the regular time I will be at home sulking!

Get better, Mike. Maybe no windmills tomorrow. Hope you can make it, but take care of yourself. -bg

IO just uploaded four files. But I also want to do Folsom Prison Blues but as a slower 12 bar blues shuffle. Key of E - 1,4,5 with a turnaround. Hopefully with an acoustic bass guitar accompanying!

I have a NSAI songwriting workshop in Ambler, 2-6, this day (although I don't really want to go). So, for now, I can't make this one. But that could change.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
