Plymouth Mountain is a moderate-vigorous trail nicely softened by the presence of snow. Snowshoes will be an asset, Microspikes will be a must. Access is from Old Hebron Road, about 1/4 mile from the intersection with Texas Hill Road. The views from Pike's Peak are stunning and worth the climb. Bring a beverage and snack for the top and you will want a camera if the day is clear!
Special note - This can be a challenging climb, so Barbara (and others) will be taking it moderately. Snowshoes actually make the climb feel a bit easier especially with the deep cover that we have this week. The climb is a 1300' vertical across 2 miles. Round trip time will be about 3 hours.
See this site for more information about the history of this trail. It is part of a conservation easement provided by Bertha and Al Fauver.
