The C2 Creative and Technology Cluster was launched in June 2008 as the sixth cluster of the countywide C2: Competitive Clusters project, a public/private partnership for economic development in Monterey County, sponsored by the County of Monterey and the Monterey County Business Council.


The purpose of the Creative & Technology Cluster is to bring more jobs and wealth to Monterey County by sharing ideas and resources to leverage existing and potential talent and expertise with a focus on film and video production, gaming and simulation, and interactive training and education.

Did you know that current data alone indicate that our creative industries has an annual output of nearly one billion dollars and represent at least 7% of all jobs in Monterey County? Our cluster activity has already shown there is tremendous potential for growth in our region.

Among the current participants are: Arts Council for Monterey County, Hartnell College, CSU Monterey Bay, MPC, NPS, DLI, MIIS, Institute for Innovation & Economic Development (iiED), Access Monterey Peninsula, KMST,, Central Coast Broadband Consortium, Dare to Dream, Stevenson School, Endorphin Productions, Five-Three Enterprises, Advanced Onion, Rolands & Associates, Webity, Woofco TV, Monterey IT Services, Orosco Group, Destination Salinas, Isaacs Ink, and others.
