It was very nice meeting everyone at the talk last night. Exciting to find that there is a community of technologists in the area. Hope to see you all next time.

    Memory usage, further study.

So, I reversed it. Facebook in Chrome and Illustreets in Safari.

Chrome breaks up its usage into multiple process and they totaled about 365MB for Facebook.

Safari was about 120MB for Illustreets.

Meteor is still looking good and Chrome is looking a lot better than Safari. Wow.

I am sorry that I had to leave early and miss the actual talk, but it was great meeting everyone beforehand.

Memory usage statistics for Illustreets and other.

Last night we speculated on what the memory usage might be for a non-trivial Meteor app. Well, I checked this morning. used a steady 54MB of memory in Chrome no matter what I was doing in the app.

By comparison, Facebook varied between 1.94GB and 3.28GB in Safari without me doing anything. Yes, that's GB!

So, Meteor's looking pretty good in that arena!

Excellent meeting last night. Thanks for participating everybody. What great group of people. I enjoyed all the discussions and meeting the new people. Looking forward to the next one.

By the way I am looking for work. Anything from contract development to CTO. Let me know if you hear of anything.

Thanks Alex for a great talk, and Shop for the pizza and space. It was particularly exciting for me to see so many new faces!

As was mentioned, both Greg and I will be out of town next month. We had some offers for help to make sure everything works out next month though.

If there's a talk you'd like to give (or hear), let us know!
