Public Drone Shows

There are two “Drone Shows” coming up around May 1st that might be an inspiring use of this MeetUp time, see links below. We are working on a “Silicon Valley 2.0 Robot STEM Zone Sea Land Air & Space” for the sUSB Expo and are thinking of bringing it back later this year to the Exploration Center.

And we are seeking a few people who would be interested in flying small drones at the Museum of Art and History (MAH) on 9 May as part of Santa Cruz Arts & Technology Festival. Hobbyists and/or drone-related businesses willing to demonstrate their birds to museum and Festival attendees.

    Hey G!!

I am teaching a rocket design class at Stanford and have a opportunity for a uav payload for deployment at 40,000 ft. If you know of someone at SVUAV that wants a ride to 40k and a chance to fly at high altitude, we own the airspace and you can connect us.

Kind of a Monterey Bay Green AeroSpace Activity for all of us to bring UAV Rigs and Related Technology to. Exact Date/Location TBD.

We have looked at this year more realistically and have decided to have 2x Public Fun Flight at 2x Universities this year. Next year have 4x Public Fun Flights at 2x Universities and 2x Colleges. Setting up Flight Ranges with the proper approval is the gating factor. My apologies for the inconveniences. All The Best... G

We have been unable to fully secure the flight operations preparations at UCSC or Watsonville AMA Field so we need to push this event out to give us more prep time. Our apologies and we will keep you informed...
