Greetings! Our group takes monthly trips to one of the greastest & most ancient known cities in North America. Cohokia Mounds is an Ancient Native Indigenous site located in Illinois directly across the Mississippi River from modern day St. Louis, Missouri. The site currently covers about 2,200 acres and contains about 80 mounds that were built roughly between 600 - 1400 CE. The site is one of the earliest known metropolis in North America. The site is currently the largest and most complex archaelogical site north of the Pre-Columbian cities in Mexico. Cohokia Mounds is a National Historic Landmark and designated site for state protection. Cohokia is also one of only 22 UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the United States. Cohokia Mounds is also the site of Woodhenge, North America's own version of Stonehenge used to mark the equinox and solstice among other signigicant timing and agricultural cycles. Our meetup group holds monthly trips to tour the site of Cohokia Mounds and Woodhenge and we hold group and personal meditations, as well as tours of the Cohokia Mound Site.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
