*The New Moon Circle is open to women, 18+ years, only*
Each year all over the world, International Women's Day (IWD) dated on March 8th, is celebrated throughout the month of March to mark the economic, political, and social achievements of women by a variety of organizations, governments, and women’s groups.
The theme for 2013 is: THE GENDER AGENDA: GAINING MOMENTUM
With this in mind, five women from our community came together and co-created our intention for this ceremony:
As we Dance the power of the Feminine up out of the shadows, we open to our strength and beauty lighting the world with Wisdom and Compassion.
This is your invitation to join us in this special New Moon ceremony, sponsored by Moon Circles NC, to step into meditation, movement and celebration. By realizing our power and beauty we become advocates for positive change taking that momentum out into the world.
A piece of this momentum is by collecting items for SafeAlliance abuse shelter. Their wish list can be found here:
• Ritual will start promptly at 7:15, with a potluck feast to follow. Please bring a covered dish to share along with your beverage of choice.
• Feel free to bring items for the altars. This can include images of important women in your life!
• Please bring a love offering to donate to PUUC and to help pay for other costs associated with the circle! (not required, but greatly appreciated! Suggested love offering between $3 - $5)
I hope you will join us in celebrating ourselves and our Sisters while being in service to our community.
