Introduction

I'm an American mom of 3 who started the Moscow Mommy Milk Meetup group in September 2004. After living in Moscow for 12 years, my husband's job took us to Minsk, but I try to visit the group as often as I can. I miss you all!

Tell us about a favorite nursing moment . . .

I have so many happy memories in the 9 years breastfeeding my 3 children! It's bittersweet to "retire" from this stage of mothering.

What stage of nursing are you currently in?

Emma weaned herself over the summer, at the age of 2 years, 10 months. Just like her older sister said at the same age, she told me the milk was "all gone" and that she didn't "need" milk anymore.

What country do you call home (list as many as apply)?

I grew up in the US, but spent 12 years in Moscow, Russia, and the last 2 in Minsk, Belarus. There are some elements of "home" in each place!
