Cocos Island - Dive trip of a lifetime

Hi All,
Is your Dive Trip "bucket list" getting a bit short?
Do seeing whale sharks give you goose-bumps?
How about schooling hammer head sharks, Manta rays, White Tip sharks, along with a plethora of other sealife, is that what gets you out of bed in the morning?
Forget about warm water and great visibility, I'm sure that's just "over rated".

Cocos Island. 340 miles from Costa Rica in the Pacific Ocean. This is an opportunity for world class diving that rivals Galapagos but without the increasing pressure to reduce the number of visits.
I would rate the diving as being Advanced generally due to the depths and currents that will be encountered.

For the photographers in the pool, opportunities for treasured photos that can be made into gifts to give your friends (making them as green as a sea turtle with envy) will abound. Maybe they will go with you, next time you ask.

For those of you that have had the pleasure of diving from a live-a-board you know the convenience and enjoyment you can get from being able to live at the dive site yet have the opportunity to move to another site as conditions dictate. Also, the food on-board is fabulous. Take a moment to read the Trip & Guest Reports (http://www.underseahu...) from people that have experienced Cocos Island personally.

This trip is set to happen between May 29th and June 8th, 2011. That may seem far off but charters are filling fast and opportunities lost for those who wait.
I'm looking for people who are interested in joining me on this trip to let me know of their interest so I can give the charter company a ballpark figure on how many they need to plan for. Since this opportunity is time sensitive my contact at Reef & Rainforest has asked if I could get her a estimate of the number of divers that are interested in coming on this fabulous trip. I need to know if you are interested by Sunday, November 1st.

Estimated cost of the trip (based on 2010 prices) - Airfare NOT INCLUDED.
Charter: 4,690.00
Park Fee: 245.00
Round Trip Transfers: 60.00

Airfare can be arranged by Reef & Rainforest (not available until 11 months before trip) (http://www.reefrainfo...) if you wish or you can do so yourself.

Below is the link to the charter company we are using. They are fully capable of providing Nitrox for those certified for its use. Please check out their site for further information.

Organization of this trip is through Reef & Rainforest. Their website is http://www.reefrainfo...
