FREE! "Sneak peek" Golden Gate Bridge Tour! - Group 4

Get a special FREE "sneak preview" of the Golden Gate Bridge Tours offered by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. These tours received an average 4.5-star rating on Yelp last year!

Tours start for the public (at $12.95/ticket) on April 1st, but because I run the program, I can offer special friends and groups FREE tickets to our "dress rehearsal" tours right before.

These are 45-minute personally guided walking tours that go from the Bridge Plaza (SE side of bridge) to the South Tower. These are NOT boring statistics-and-engineering tours. Rather, you hear stories of passion, danger, and ingenuity... boldness, beauty, and bravery... and much more.

If you've driven over the bridge a million times but don't know its amazing story -- including why it is one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and the incredible dangers that workers faced to build it -- join us for this free tour.

Tour will begin PROMPTLY at 11:30 am. Its about an hour round-trip back to the Round House. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE ROUND HOUSE AT LEAST 20 MINUTES EARLY to pick up your audio equipment.

Parking can be very challenging! I recommend the lots on the west side of the bridge. The employee lots are open to the public on weekends for a small fee.

(Please be aware that this is NOT a behind-the-scenes tour. The tour is conducted all in public areas. You know, that pesky Homeland Security issue...)

Another place to park is next to the Warming Hut, and then hiking up the steps and path just to the west, taking you right to the meeting place. A beautiful view along the way.

Sorry for the last minute cancellation. I have been watching the weather and with the thunderstorms we had last night and more predicted today. I do not think this is the best conditions to ride my bike over the bridge.

I'm sorry that I must cancel my part in this tour, because of a change in plans Sunday with a visitor from France. I hope you all enjoy the event! See you for another outing soon.
