My So Called Enemy Film Screening

 With Director Lisa Gossels

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Filmed over a seven-year period, "My So Called Enemy" follows six Palestinian and Israeli teenage girls committed to mutual understanding and a just solution to the conflict that continues to rage in their homeland, after participating in a U.S. women's leadership program called Building Bridges for Peace where they got to know their "enemies" as human beings. Lisa Gossels' highly acclaimed documentary presents the complexities of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict though a human lens - and the possibility and hope that come from listening to each other's stories.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Lisa Gossels is an Emmy Award-winning documentarian whose films have garnered twenty awards on the festival circuit.  A member of the Selah Leadership Network, she became a documentarian because she believes in the power of film to effect social change. Lisa has served as a Juror for the News & Documentary Emmy Awards, The Cleveland International Film Festival, The Ivy Film Festival and The Woodstock Festival. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brown University.

This will be a powerful evening with a focus on our "humanity," not on what divides us. You won't want to miss it.
