Mother-Daughter Group: Growing up Female for Tweens & Teens No recent ratings

A well crafted mother-daughter event leaves both generations feeling glad to be female. We connect with each other, we learn about the latest science (about being female), we celebrate our goodness, and we have fun together.

This group is for mothers and other adult women who are concerned for the tween and teen girls of today and who want to get together to make a difference.

Discussions on-line will focus on many issues: happiness, self esteem, body image, sexuality, balancing life issues, etc.

In-person workshops and classes serve
mother-daughter pairs
and
adult women

Our first event is for you and your 10-11 year old daughter:

Growing up Female: for 5th and 6th grade girls (this is a mother-daughter experience - girl attends with her mother, aunt, grandmother, or other adult female friend). This two hour workshop is a small group experience that covers body changes of puberty, self esteem, menstrual care and products, and what it really means to be female. An upbeat experience guaranteed to get the conversation going and to establish a healthy framework for future talks.

Stay tuned for our most popular event for adult women:

Happy Women, Happy Families:
Women are the emotional center of most families. A happy woman leads her family members toward optimism, resilience, and joy, benefiting all. Women have unique brain structures and hormones; these physiological realities, along with social situations, challenge women as they attempt to maintain an equilibrium of happiness. This workshop explores the factors that women deal with and provides tools and strategies to help each woman move toward life satisfaction and joy. (2 hour workshop)

AND

It's My Turn! Women's Circle: A 12 week group experience for adult women

Attend this group experience with a friend or on your own. Gathering regularly (you can help us decide how often! - weekly, 2x/month, or monthly); we will:

* Explore the realities of being female (we will focus on the joys and acknowledge the struggles).
* Claim the goodness and dignity of being female.
* Connect with other women to build a network of support to help each woman stretch and grow.
* Encourage each other to become the strong and creative people we have the capacity to be.
* Learn what scientists and practitioners are learning about resilience, happiness, emotional intelligence, and more.
