Detroit URBEX (Urban Exploration) Outing- Advanced Outing and Scouting


This is an Advanced/Scouting Tour

On this outing we will scout and find new locations. Most of these locations are not accessible with larger groups, and will not be offered on regular tours. This will be an opportunity to find and explore new places

Field Topic

Recognizing, accessing, exploring locations

MCPW will be your guides and host by transporting you to and from the locations

Meet at 8:45 a.m. at Parker Creative Co-op Studio in Royal Oak to leave by 9:00 a.m. We will shoot until 1:00 p.m. and then head back to the studio. During this time we will offer guidance in composition/exposure if needed and answer any questions you may have

Participants should be in general good health and dress appropriately (layers, boots, etc.) as it could be overly warm or cold inside the buildings. Bring a flashlight/batteries

Outing Level Rating= * Advanced- Understanding your cameras functions, recognizing and adapting/changing different terrains. Experienced URBEXER's

A liability waiver will be required for signature to take part in this outing.

Motor City Photography Workshops reserves the right to change outing location after location is revealed to participants if access to planned location becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, and to choose a new location based on availability.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If this workshop has insufficient enrollment to run, Motor City Photography Workshops reserves the right to cancel the workshop 48 hours prior to the start of the workshop. If this happens, you will be notified by email and reimbursed in full.

Your organizer's refund policy for Detroit URBEX (Urban Exploration) Outing- Advanced Outing and Scouting

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled
  • you can cancel at least 2 day(s) before the Meetup

Additional notes: ATTENDANCE POLICY: If you do not cancel a paid workshop more than 48 hours from the of start of the event, you will forfeit the amount you paid for the workshop.

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
