Let's celebrate Spring in Detroit with Motown songs. Post Motown and other favorites under "More, Files" for the group to enjoy. We have special presentations on tap for the evening. See you there!

I didn't see the actual printout until just yesterday so wanted to offer a note that might help with any confusion: under the 2, 3, and 6 columns, add a small "m" next to the letter to denote a minor chord and a "dim" for all chords in the 7 column which are always diminished. So in the key of C you'll get C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am, Bdim

great job teaching the number system David- I encourage you all to put into practice what you learned and here's a couple ways to do so: 1) learn & memorize You Are My Sunshine in at least 3-4 different keys 2) go through a bunch of songs you already have/know and translate the chords into numbers (don't worry if there are a few that don't fit, just make a note of it and file that away). remember, you can practice this stuff at any time, you don't even need to have your ukulele with you!

Tonight we will be having the meeting in another part of the building. The owner is using that space to prep for some upcoming philanthropic activities. Please enter through the front door instead of the back... I'll try to make it obvious.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
