Sunshine Saturday Ride! Augustine Bernal Park in Pleasanton - at Golden Eagle

Sunshine this Saturday Mt Bike Ride at 10:30 AM - Come on Ladies lets RIDE!!!! UPDATE! I just realized I had posted the wrong date! It's Dec 8th NOT the 22nd!!!

This ride is at the Golden Eagle Gated Community! Augustine Bernal Park in Pleasanton

IF YOU ARE NOT A PLEASANTON RESIDENT... 2 options...

1. Tell the person at the gate that you are with Kelli's MeetUp Group (I will provide them a list of names) and they will let you in :)

2. You can get a FREE Golden Eagle parking pass at the Alviso Adobe Community Park 3465 Old Foothill rd just off Foothill rd. From 580, take Foothill exit, go south, the community center is a few miles up on right, if needed Call park for info:[masked] SEE MAP BELOW!!!

About Augustine Bernal Park / Pleasanton Ridge - One of the easier routes up to the Pleasanton Ridge Park - The ride is both fire road and single track (some narrow, a few switchbacks). The route we will take is not real technical, just super fun, great views of the Tri-Valley, ride down Kilkare canyon which offers a shaded beautiful canopy of trees, a few little creek crossings, fire road back up, single track sprinkled throughout the ride, and well... some climbs of course (nothing super steep or long)

This is a very FUN casual ride, at a casual pace, about 10 miles, 1.5 hours to 2 (depending on size of group and various skill levels), 1547 ft of climbing, both fire road and single track.
VIDEO OF THE RIDE
- if you have 15 minutes with nothing to do, here's the ride (slight variation), I'm on the red bike (-: http://youtu.be/lhybtdanmBo

Skill level: "upper level" beginner, basically comfortable riding 1.5 to 2 hrs, comfortable on non-technical single track. This ride offers fun for all skill levels (-:

CALL ME if you get lost :) [masked]

Here's a Link to a "larger" map! Shows how to to get your parking pass and how to find the park entrance.

Wasn't it gorgeous today! Sorry I couldn't join you gals. Usually 10:30 would have worked for me, but I was way overbooked today :) I really want to explore Kilkare Canyon.... Didn't make it that far today, though. Hopefully I can join you next time!

Is there any reason to get the parking pass, or will we be ok as long as we have RSVPed?

I'm thinking the list will do. I know the gate security pretty well, they told me the list will do (-:

We might see you on the Pleasanton ridge, it's actually the same trail system at some places.

Wondering about trail condition with all the rain we have had this week? Is it do able?

Well I rode today, while raining, due to the sandy terrain it was not muddy at all, just wet. I also rode Sunday after the storm, no problem. That's why I love this place
