BEGINNER MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE
This will be tailored to those attending; from total newbie to beginners wanting to improve skills.

- optional: 30 min easy riding drills
- An easy/beginner 30 to 90 min ride will follow for those that want get on the trails and practice. Time and pace to match the stamina of people attending.
MTN BIKING CONCEPTS FOR REVIEW
Mountain Bike Operation:
Bike Set-Up, how to fit the bike to you
Body position / shifting weight
Braking (front brake, rear brake, when and how), disk vs caliper
Shifting (front derailleur, rear derailleur, when and how)
Basic Mountain Bike Skills:
Riding circles and figure eights. Flat and side hill. Practice balance.
Ascending and descending hills
Riding in and out of the saddle
Roots, rocks and obstacles
How to avoid falling
Requirements: MTN Bike, gloves, helmet, and eye protection is suggested
Sign up 2 days ahead of time is required. If no person is signed up ahead of time, the event will be canceled.
