I am a stay-at-home Mom of two kids, ages 2 and 4. I moved to CO in 2011, and when I found this community of people who wanted to start a Waldorf school, I jumped on the bandwagon!
I love that my child is not just forced to use rote memorization to pass state-mandated tests. Waldorf uses all the senses to teach children about the world around them, using music, art, and nature to teach them the things they need to know, as well as enriching their inner-spirits. Waldorf instills confidence by teaching my child that if she can set her mind to something, and works toward her goals, she can accomplish anything. I also love the bond teachers have with their students that is so rare in public school systems.
Yes and YES!
I'm currently on the Charter Contract Committee, the Grant Writing/Development Committee, and the Fundraising/Events/Family Education Committee. I'm having a ball, and love that step-by-step we are reaching our ultimate goal to have a Waldorf school that is accessible to everyone! :)

Thanks! Nice meeting you too, I'll check that group out :)
Hi Laurie. Welcome to the Colorado Photography Learning Group. We do a lot of fun things, so keep an eye on the calendar. Membership also has its perks. Check out the deals members receive by clicking the "More" tab then the "Files" tab where you'll find a document with all that info. And let us know if you have any ideas for events. I'd also like to invite you to join our Facebook group.
Laurie girl....I made a meet~up for a Thrifting day, so we can shop!! It's under suggested at the moment, hope that day works for you;D
Welcome to the group Laurie, I look fwd to meeting you on Tuesday.
Glad we both made it to the meetup last night, late or not! Anyway, if you want maybe we could carpool next week since we are on the same side of town. As of right now, I plan to go.
Entirely my pleasure. Mind you, the kids don't think I am all that "radical" but we both know they just don't understand.
HI Laurie,
So enjoyed meeting you. Looking forward to seeing you next time and seeing what you've knitted!
Suzanne
Yea, I've been part of the group since the Spring but I just went to my first Meetup last week. A nice group of knitters and crocheters (mostly knitters). I should be there tomorrow but might be a few minutes late. See ya then!
