Let's get together to practice Japanese!

We will have our guest speaker Yuki share with us his research on Japanese Keigo this week.

Yuki, who will be entering his first year of college, has researched Japanese Keigo and etiquette and published his work as his last high school project. We are very honored to have him share his project with us this week.

He will be discussing the origins of Keigo, the different types of Keigo (Sonkeigo, Kenjougo and Teineigo), the general rules and how it impacts social behavior. He has also prepared some exercises and fun activities to help us learn.

Please download the following files from the More -> Files section.

1. Yuki-Project Keigo

2. Honorific speech in Japanese

3. Keito-PPP62-64

Feel free to read through the materials ahead of time.

See you Sunday!
