Glen Loin Loop

  • Jul 24, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • Arrochar car park west.

A classic route, with around[masked]m of ascent on singletrack/ 4x4 track, followed by a fantastic singletrack descent back through Glen Loin to the car park.

Should take roughly 2 hours. Steady pace, but nothing too rash! Red graded for the descent.

As usual, no helmet, no ride. Bring food, water, spare tubes and a waterproof as the weather is likely to break from the recent tropical conditions!!

Very good ride. Nice one Campbell. Even falling off was fun! Definitely one to do again. Especially now I know where the Strave segments are :-)

Be careful out there kiddiewinks. It got dark very quickly tonight because of the cloud cover.

Yes it was a wise idea to make for the pub when we did - for safety reasons of course.

Dave lives nearby on Ingram st. I'll leave my van there overnight for a quick getaway. I reckon we need to leave Glasgow at about 17:15. This will give us a bit of padding if delayed and me enough to time to fit my contact lenses....
There is also a good chance we'll get muddy so please bring a change of clothes if possible
