Ice Climbing: Frankenstein Cliffs ( Indeterminate - Advanced )

Multie Pitch Climbing - Option's for Top Rope are available.

Frankenstein Cliff’s has waterfall ice routes ranging from low angle and easy to very steep and difficult all crag style of climbing. I have done a lot of my steep ice climbing here.

Classic steep ice climbs at Frankenstein include Standard Route, Pegasus, Dracula, Chia and too many others to mention. The short flat approach about 1 mile along a railroad track and numerous super fat ice climbs make this one of the best and most user-friendly places to go ice climbing in the East. Most climbs are multi pitch climbs with a walk off to the north west along a packed out decent route.

Plan:

Arrive at the upper parking lot 8am  and leave to the climbing at no later then 8:45am  If late you will have to try to find the group. Knowing your running late you will want to text yearly due to there is no Cell coverage in the parking lot...

Group Size:

I will have to limit the group to as many lead climbers I get for this trip. I will start off with 3 ( 1 Leader & 2 Followers ) and add both as I see leaders sign up for our trip.

New-ish Leaders Please make a note at RSVP and will try to pair you up with a strong Be-layer.

Team Organizer that can volunteer who is willing and able, to set up top-rope options. I can add waiting RSVP's from the waiting list...

If they are not answered I will have to overlook you being an attendee... Sorry

Carpooling:

Place a thread on the this board and try to hook up with others helping with gas etc...

Sorry guys, this is a little too last minute and the weather tomorrow is looking a little iffy -- temps in the teens, snow, and winds at 30+ mph. Hopefully, I can join you another time.

Is it too late to join the meet up climb tomorrow? I don't lead, but I'm an experienced climber and I have plenty of webbing, slings, and biners to make a top rope anchor. My cell is[masked]

I can also follow a leader. I'm coming from Jamaica Plain, so I can join a car pool or drive myself (with room for more).

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
