( Organizers Meeting) Building a Meetup & Discussion.

Play by day! Talk by night!

Social, Mission, Vision. How can we all make the group more fun. Tip's on Outdoor leadership and the Negatives, but also the rewards!

The Plan:

I would like to make a meetup for us to gather Play during the daylight and in the evening socialize for a hour maybe two. Talk about creating a meetup and the short cuts in posting one with fair bit of detail. I know some find it daunting in where to start and I figure with a little help and showing some of you the easy short cuts you will find it not that bad of task. I have learned a lot over the last year as a organizer and a Outdoor leader what not too do and well as things that worked really well. Would love to share it with you all and see those on the fence getting outside on Meetups that interest them in sharing with others here at the Mountaineers Group.

If you are also interested folk's that would like to learn more about what it is to be a Assistant-Organizer and making Meetup trips out to where ever it interests you and maybe many others your welcome to attend... We just ask that you be a active person in the group and organize at least 4 Meetups each year. If less then that a Host status is always a option for that one time each year.

I know our focus for this group is Mountaineering and those associated parts. most of these Meetups with the mountaineers require some experience and skills for Mountaineering. like gear listing, then the activity 's of Backpacking and climbing in whatever method needed. Sport, aid, trad.....etc....

But, I also would like to, Approach fellow outdoor people. To ask also list Meetups for those other Non-helmet wearing activities, Hiking and other social events too. Things like perhaps? Warren Miller show in the fall? Slideshows or speakers for AAC or AMC and things that maybe interesting for a outdoor group of hardcore, hill climbing, helmet wearing, rock & ice dodging, tuff people, not afraid to sweet before the fun starts..:-)

If your interested I look forward in meeting you!

I want too her your concerns and interests. even the far fetched.

Also, maybe you need a little help in organizing it too. We can talk as a group and maybe find others willing to team up for the experience or the research needed? A little assistance in getting started?

Any Meetup strong skills is not always required. Discovering is half the fun. Just the little bit of extra time to organize the trip witch 99% is done at home during the week..

Staying over night:

Being at my Land up in NH I have 8 acres camping can be found it is a hillside so spreading out for that flat spot is needed. but its got all we need for this event. Some tent platforms are available but limited of course. Nicest Outhouse in NH..:-)

Plus 1's & Family:

Welcome to bring those partners and kids. All in the organizers life are welcome.

If they don't camp? there is lots of B&B's right in the village. Off season rates might be cheap?

Having some fun:

During the daylight hours we got other hiking and climbing as close as 15 minutes away and if the Black flies let us we can climb or hike on Sat before our Meeting. Happy to put something together for that..

Rain Date:

I will cancel this if it is a rainy day. We can re-post it for the following weekend during our season end party.. Once I get that polished up Where When etc...

Please come on out. Love to chat...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
