Which aspects of mountaineering and backcountry sports are of most interest to you? -- (Hiking) (Backcountry Skiing) (Ice Climbing) (Rock Climbing) (Backpacking & Camping) ?

Hiking (working on the 48's), backpacking, shelters & tentsites, 2 day hikes. In 3 season, I hike with my border collie Yoda - he has his own pack & carries his own gear.

What is your level of mountaineering experience or other backcountry skills? -- (Novice) (Beginner) (Intermediate) (Advanced) (Pro)? (Feel free to add some specifics):

I've done about half of the 48s and about 24 in the winter. Prefer 2 days (one day up, stay over, next day down). It's not about speed, it's about the adventure

What is your greatest achievement in the the mountains as of today?

6 peaks in 2 days - camping on Mt Pierce at 0* with 70mph winds. Awesome!

What is you "next" greatest goal? Touch some summit? Backpack a trail?

More winter backpacking/camping. Learning how to use the MSR. Another pair of boots? I only have 8 so far...

What was your most epic, trip that gives you the cold sweats in the middle of the night?

Coming down Falling Waters Trail in the rain - I fell 3 times and got stuck between 2 rocks. Longest day of my life...

I like backpacking, hiking, camping out in all 4 seasons. Nothing better than a 4,000'er in January in a tent!
