Which aspects of mountaineering and backcountry sports are of most interest to you? -- (Hiking) (Backcountry Skiing) (Ice Climbing) (Rock Climbing) (Backpacking & Camping) ?

Hiking, Ice Climbing, Dry-Tooling, Backpacking & Camping

What is your level of mountaineering experience or other backcountry skills? -- (Novice) (Beginner) (Intermediate) (Advanced) (Pro)? (Feel free to add some specifics):

Beg. Hiked to Shining Rock for ice-climbing with mountaineering axe, hiked 13 miles to Moos. & bagged Blue and Jim. Ice-climbed @ Craw. Notch after walking tracks & up small hill. Made snow shelter & slept out that night; got down to zero F.

What is your greatest achievement in the the mountains as of today?

Climbing Mount Mansfield with no traction devices a couple of weeks ago to the chin.

What is you "next" greatest goal? Touch some summit? Backpack a trail?

Winter Solo day-hike Mt Mansfield in Vermont via Long trail to the Chin, then Winter solo day-hike Mt. Moosilaukee in NH for 13 miles.

What was your most epic, trip that gives you the cold sweats in the middle of the night?

Hiking 13 miles to Mount Moosilaukee in NH in completely rigid mountaineering boots. I got tendonitis of the hip flexor on that trip before my group got to the summit.

Introduction

I'm a freshman studying sustainability at LSC who enjoys hiking, climbing, ice-climbing, dry-tooling, mountaineering, etc. I'm taking mountain recreation skills courses. Hope to be a farmer, mountain rescue, & theater tech or a high-tech scientist.
