Ever wondered whether art, movies and theatre reflect back to us the symbolic truth of our human nature?
In what way can these narratives teach us about the universal forces in our psyche?

What can we learn from the heroes and heroines, dragons and villains, witches and magicians-scientists in our modern myths?
Where are we as individuals subject to the same "quest or struggle" as the protagonist?
When are we collectively unconsciously projecting our shadow onto the villain in modern myths?

How can we "own" our unconscious projections and use it to self-realize our hidden potential?
Can our modern myths be used for our personal development; by increasing our consciousness about the archetypal influences these stories mirror back to us?

This group is for all people who are interested in the crossroads between movie, theatre, art and our collective and individual psyche.

We will organize informal meetups, movie nights-afternoons, experiential workshops and lectures.
As the group its aim is to share learning and our own subjective personal "perspectives and projections" it is imperative that anybody who comes to a workshop or a meeting takes personal responsibility of their own viewpoints and reactions. This is to enable personal development in terms of "owning" our own projections and reactions without blame or criticism towards the "Other".
Inevitably, real learning will occur when you are ready to take such a step. In that case you are very welcome to participate in this group.

About me: I am a Jungian analyst in training and am fascinated by the universal archetypes in their roleplays in mass cultural expressions and our collective and personal lives.
I am an organizer of two other meetup groups where we work with movies and myths to explore the Collective Unconscious and where it intersects with our personal power and freedom.
