The announcement said we needed to be there by 6:30 to get tickets. They were inside the lobby door all standing together though some had gone to save seats, and Dana waited well past that time.
She was wearing what she described. Sorry that happened to you. I went in a door that said 1000 Van Ness and it was the lobby. It was a long movie (though it didn't seem long to me) and probably too late to think about group discussions of it after 10pm...

I have to say we were kind of hard to miss around 6:30 to 6:45pm as there were 20+ people all grouped around talking in the entry lobby. I found the group when it was only 8 people or so at 6:20pm. Sorry you missed us.

Fantastic film and great cast. Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe gave excellent performances. If you don't know the story be warned it is a tear jerker.

Will we be able to sit a bit toward the back? I read that there is a lot of movement (hand held) and huge closeups. Am a Les Miserables fan, with several albums of the music :-)

Can't wait! Does anyone strongly recommend reading the book before seeing the movie? Since it's a musical, I can't tell if reading the book first would enhance the experience.

The book is incredible. I read it before I saw the show on Broadway, and the details of the story really enhanced seeing the show for me.
