The Dinner Game

Marlton, NJ
Post #: 12
If you get a chance, rent this movie. It's the original movie (French with subtitles) that Dinner with Schmucks was based on.

It was funny and touching. I have a feeling that DWS was not nearly as good as this one.

But I usually think that the remake is never as good as the original especially the English versions of indie Foreign films.

Case in point... "Shall We Dance" vs "Shall We Dance" and
"Eat Drink, Man, Women" vs "Tortilla Soup".

Hitchcock remade some of his English movies in Hollywood with some success. The 39 Steps and a few others. But overall, I'll take the original.
